Form the dough into small balls, then flatten them into a disc shape. 7. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each disc. 8. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and seal well. 9. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. 10. Fry the alcapurrias until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. 11. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels. 12. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

You can also use other fillings such as crab meat, shrimp, or vegetables.
