- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste

Method
- Wash the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
- Add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Saute for a minute.
- Add onions and saute until translucent.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add all the vegetables and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add all the spices and salt. Mix well.
- Add the soaked rice and mix well.
- Add water and mix well.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook on high flame for 1 whistle.
- Reduce the flame and cook for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Open the lid of the pressure cooker and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with raita or papad.
