- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups water

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

Method
- Wash the rice in a large pot and drain the water.
- Add 2 cups of water to the pot and bring it to a boil.

- In a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped onion, carrot, and capsicum to the pan and fry for a few minutes until they are tender.
- Add 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.
- Next, add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 1 teaspoon of coriander powder to the pan and mix well.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix it with the vegetables and spices.
- Season with salt to taste and mix well.
- Jeera Fried Rice is now ready to serve.
