Method

  3. Add the garlic, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, thyme, and oregano to the pot and stir well.
  4. Add the chicken broth and rice to the pot and stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
  6. Simmer the rice for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  7. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes, covered.
  8. Stir the parsley into the pot and fluff the rice with a fork.
  9. Serve the dirty rice jambalaya hot.
