Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the can of diced tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper to the saucepan and stir well.
